Viconics introduces a cost effective Zigbee wireless mesh solution for
Niagara AX™ powered JACE 2 and 6 controllers.
Viconics proudly introduces its latest communication layer for the Niagara AX™platform. The new VWG-APP-1000 wireless communication card and Viconics “wireless stat” driver jar file which have been specifically designed for use with the Viconics’ wireless Zigbee communicating thermostats.
The VWG-APP-1000 primarily targeted at retrofit opportunities where the installation of new communicating field bus wiring within an existing building space is prohibitive. This new solution opens up possibilities which until now were simply dismissed as being non viable. Using the wireless communication card and associated VT7000 series thermostats dramatically reduces a project installation time by re-utilizing the existing wiring used between the electronic thermostat controls and terminal equipment. The HVAC automation industry and their customers will now benefit from an increased rate of return on investment.
The VWG-APP-1000 wireless card when used in conjunction with the Viconics’ VT7000 series wireless thermostats provides integrators with a very simple integration into the Niagara AX™ Workbench™ environment using common or existing toolsets. The key strength of the Niagara AX™ software framework lies in its ability to normalize data and behaviour between various devices, regardless of manufacturer or communication protocol used. The Niagara AX™ software framework and development environment can now be maximized like never before with the help of Viconics latest product offering.
