Viconics returns from WEEC show!

Viconics has recently returned from the WEEC show which took place in Washington DC between the 8th and 9th of December 2010.

For Viconics, this was an extraordinary event where the contingency consisted of consulting engineers, facilities professionals, energy engineers, contractors and property managers. They sought out information on energy savings, functionality, integration and all the qualities that are concurrent with the Viconics solution range.

People who came by our booth asked pertinent questions about application and integration of Viconics products to their current projects. This show gave us the opportunity to explain in greater depth the concepts behind terminology that we have coined such as “simplified automation,” and “network ready,” used when describing our breadth of solutions and what they mean to the types of people we met at the show.

For the engineering audience; these concepts, translated into added value for their customer bases. The true value being implementation of products that achieve sustainable design, energy savings, increased life-span, and better ROI.  For example; as it applies to “network ready,” there is no reason to install a thermostat that provides nothing more than stand-alone functionality, only to then throw it away when you decide to upgrade your building by adding a communication layer through a centrally managed building system. The solution that is most sustainable is the one that can be modified or whereby the communication module can be easily added to the existing product in place; when budget becomes available to create a more efficient system.

Attendees agreed that it is wasteful from both environmental and economical perspectives to specify products that have no potential to be upgraded and will ultimately be thrown in the trash.

We are greatly anticipating next years show in Chicago, as it promises to deliver us a whole new select audience that will benefit greatly from what we have to offer. With this event rounding out our calendar year, we wish you well during the holiday season and look forward to seeing you at the upcoming AHR 2011 trade show where we will be stationed at Booth # N4562 in Las Vegas, Nevada, between the 31st of January and the 2nd of February, 2011.
