Series Communicating Thermostats

VT7000 Series Communicating Thermostats

Viconics is pleased to announce the following product enhancement to our VT7000 series communicating thermostat product line as a direct result of your feedback. These features have been designed to provide enhanced product energy features, user experience.

Product shipped after May 4, 2009 shall contain the following new features:

  • Adjustable Proportional Band: This feature will allow for the adjustment of the controllers proportional band in order to compensate for existing equipment sizing.
  • Enhanced Auto Fan Speed: Legacy product models would cycle fan speeds depending on offset from temperature set point between L-M-H fan speeds only. The Enhanced modification allows for the fan to be optionally cycled off during occupied periods saving energy and reducing noise within the occupied space.
  • International User Interface: The VT7000 series user interface has now been updated to cover international markets. English Text in addition to Icons will now be applied in place of the text only buttons and status LED’s thus delivering an internationally acceptable product in both commercial and hospitality markets.
  • Single Set point Adjustment (VT7300 only): For installations requiring simplified user interface experience, we have included a configuration parameter which allows the commissioning agent to publish a single temperature set point adjustment rather than a traditional commercial heating/cooling set points simplifying user experience.
  • Password Protection: Installations requiring local configuration lock-outs such as K-12, Dorms, and other institutions can now rely on this new parameter which will disable configuration menu upon activation of user selectable password eliminating the chance of future manipulation by unauthorized users.
  • Motion Detector (PIR Ready) Thermostat Base: All VT7000 series product are now launched with PIR ready product base allowing for the field introduction of a accessory PIR cover to permit energy savings without sacrificing occupant cover. Energy savings are anticipated between 6 and 30% depending on occupancy and equipment type.
  • Enhanced network image: The entire VT7000 series product lines network images have been updated in order to include new network definitions for PIR feature in addition to others. These changes are expected to add significant functionality on a system level.
  • Fan-Lock (VT7600 Only): The VT7600 has now been equipped with a feature which permits the lockout of the compressor(s) during a fan failure – thus eliminating the remote wiring of a relay interface, and allowing for more accurate event reporting (network alarm).
  • 2D Bar Code Labeling: Viconics has now implemented a 2D bar coding method of providing traceability to our factory floor. This new process allows Viconics to provide less product labeling with additional quality system, lot and purchase information to OEM customer upon request.
