Viconics wins best new product at the 2011 MCEE show!
This years MCEE event held at Place Bonaventure in Montreal, Quebec kicked off with a bang! Viconics was honoured with the Best New Product 2011 award for our VWZS (Viconics Wireless Zoning System) in the category of; “Software, Controls and Electronic Equipment."
We would like to take this opportunity to thank and offer recognition to the judges, comprised of the following organizations: CMMTQ, ICPC, CMEQ, and CETAF: who selected our product amongst some very stiff competition. Viconics takes immense pride in receiving the award and views it as a significant acknowledgement of our ongoing efforts to provide high quality, advanced control devices.
Attendance at the Viconics booth 
was constant throughout the two days we exhibited. Visitors were looking to learn about our latest solutions and the benefits of implementing them in their projects with the goal of participating in Hydro Québec’s latest commercial buildings energy efficiency program: “Buildings Program – Assistance for Energy Efficiency Projects.” There were also plenty of visitors that simply dropped by to discuss their level of satisfaction with our products used in some of their recent projects.
We met with: consulting engineers, facilities professionals, contractors, property managers and other manufacturers. They sought out information on energy savings, functionality, integration and what truly makes the Viconics product line most advantageous. We have flexible control solutions and have made them available in a variety of the most commonly used open protocols: BACnet®, Lontalk®, Wireless Zigbee™ and Network-Ready. For those of you who are not familiar with the term “Network-Ready” it refers to your ability to future upgrade a standalone wall mounted Viconics control to include a communication module. The controls can then be seamlessly integrated and used in conjunction with building automation systems. Viconics controls are available with optional PIR covers for advanced occupancy detection and yield additional energy savings.
We have always approached the market with controls that help save on the total installed cost of project implementations, by providing contractors with products that are extremely easy to work with. Installations require nominal labour and no additional tools, nor laptops for the configuration and commissioning process. We offer an accelerated ROI product line that causes the least amount of disruption during retrofit projects to building owners’ day to day operation of their facilities.
