Product Enhancement – Viconics Wireless Gateway

Viconics Technologies Inc., Montreal, Canada is pleased to announce that the following product enhancements have been made to the already successful Viconics Wireless Gateway (VWG-40) products. 

• The VWG-40 now features both an on-board PA (Power Amplifier) and LNA (Low Noise Amplifier) for improved range and performance.
• Open-air first-hop wireless mesh distance has doubled from 100 meters (330 Ft.)  to 200 meters (660 Ft.) typical. These distances are measured at 5ft. from ground level. Note that, indoor performance in a commercial building is typically 30% that of open air performance and can vary depending on specific building construction.

These enhancements have been implemented to further expand VWG-40 product applications, specifically portable classrooms, which facilitate the integration of this type of building into a centralized systems resulting in enormous energy saving potential.
