Viconics UK attends the ISH 2011 show
For the first time Viconics UK has attended the ISH International Sanitation Heating Expo (ISH) which is held in Germany every 2 years at the Frankfurt MESSE. ISH is the premier event in the European calendar and attracts companies involved in a complete spectrum of aspects of our industry from bathroom sanitary ware to intelligent integrated solutions.
ISH attracts over 200,000 visitors from over 140 countries during the 6 day event with over 2400 companies being represented. The success of ISH is based not just on large numbers of visitors but also on the fact that all major target groups are represented – from installers and engineers, architects and designers through to planners and the wholesale sector.
Viconics joined the BACnet interest group (Europe) stand and presented solutions for low voltage fan coil, zone control and heat pump applications in addition the recently launched VTR mains control solution for Fan coil units. The wider European audience showed a huge amount of interest in these solutions and was keen to further understand our market messages relating to lowest total installed cost, simplified automation PIR and Network Ready concepts and our protocol agnostic approach. These messages all being reinforced with our newly produced vertical market cut sheets explaining our solutions and providing valuable reference information.
Over the four days that we attended the show, activity was brisk, with attendance representing a worldwide audience and numbers indicating improving markets. We listened carefully to our customers to ensure that we fully understand how our products fit into these markets and to see what we could improve to re-enforce our market position.
ISH is always a good technology indicator, and gives the opportunity to see what other providers are developing or have launched to the market. What is interesting form a Viconics perspective is that we are still ahead of the pack in product development, feature rich platforms and application.
These European events are always a good source of business and leads for many opportunities have been received, to which we look forward to working with our customers both new and existing to provide Viconics product solutions.
In conclusion we look forward to securing business opportunities from this show, working with our customers and attending next year’s event ‘Light & Build 2012.
