Position: Graphic Designer (S20)
Reports to: Advertising Manager
Department: Sales and Marketing
Job Description:
As a member of the sales and marketing team the candidate will be responsible for the design and development of various types of company branded materials. The chosen candidate will have an imaginative flair, awareness of current trends in the area of visual arts, as well as a good working knowledge of the latest graphic software packages on the PC platform. The candidate should be able to coordinate multiple tasks while meeting set deadlines. The candidate should be a team player and be open to constructive criticism.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop marketing and communication materials in different media formats including sell sheets, catalogues, e-mail campaigns, newsletter, web graphics, magazine ads etc….
- Design and develop ad materials for major US and international magazines.
- Collaborate with marketing team to brainstorm new concepts that fit objectives for major marketing programs and campaigns including trade shows.
- Retouch product photos for marketing literature
Skills and Qualifications:
- College degree or technical degree in graphic design
- 2-3 years working experience
- Expertise in Adobe Photoshop, illustrator, Indesign and Flash on PC platform
- Knowledge of PHP, Dreamweaver, HTML and CSS an asset
- Some Video editing skills and asset
- Very good organizational and time management skills
- Bilingual French and English /oral and written (a must)
