Position: Process Specialist, Test Engineering (ME04)
Reports to: Manufacturing Engineering Manager
Department: Manufacturing & Engineering
Job Description:
Responsible for the generation of manufacturing test methodology. Includes the development of test fixtures, test programs and all associated documentation for high-volume production of new HVAC electronic controls in an ISO 9001:2000 environment. Responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the final assembly test process. Give support and service to F.A.T. process.
Responsibilities:
- Design and development of manufacturing test fixtures and test programming for high volume manufacturing
- Generate documentation of test fixture assembly and manufacturing test procedures
- Provide technician and operator training for troubleshooting, calibration and testing of new products
- Continuous improvement of existing manufacturing test methodology
- Selection, qualifying and testing of new components for test fixturing
- Be up to date with and recommend new manufacturing test technologies and equipment
- Make recommendations to manufacturing engineering manager for process and technology improvements
- Manage and maintain test fixturing including preventive and corrective maintenance
- Bachelor of Engineering and electronics experience
- Minimum of 5 years experience in the design of embedded systems and the development of firmware for these systems
- Knowledge with micro-controllers, digital and analog electronics
- Experience with electronic components and hardware
- Excellent circuit analysis and diagnostic ability
- Familiar with instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, meters and digital data acquisition systems
- Knowledge of sensors such as thermistors, thermocouples
- Manually dexterous and good soldering and rework skills
- Organized and self motivated team player.
- Bilingual with good communication and computer skills
