Position: PCB CAD Designer (E20)

Reports to: Senior CAD Designer
Department: Engineering

Job Description:
     

To produce electronic printed circuit boards designs within a   multidisciplinary ISO-9001 environment,  interfacing with all departments within the organization. Candidate will be involved in the design of cutting edge controls technology for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and humidification industry.

 
Responsibilities:
   
  • Design of new and existing 2 and 4 layer printed circuit boards for new and existing products
  • Creation of electronic components in ORCAD for 3D renderings (transfer of files between PCB and mechanical CADS)
  • Design printed circuits boards in compliance to IPC standards
  • Design of printed circuit boards of both technologies, Thru-Hole & SMT components
  • Design for EMI / EMC compliance PCBs within the CE directive 89/336/EEC
  • Design For Manufacturing of PCB
  • Assist in the design and develop new controls for high-volume manufacturing, integrating and optimizing cost, reliability, quality and simplicity as part of the overall design
  • Participate in design decisions and implementations for all new and existing products.
  • Assist in BOM creation.
 
 
Qualifications:
    
  • Minimum 2 years of printed circuit board design
  • DEC or equivalent  experience
  • Knowledge of 3D modeling , file conversions, Lithography, DXF and IGES.
  • Familiar with various standards used in the electronics industry such as IPC, ROHS
  • Knowledge of mechanical assembly and tools
  • Knowledge of ORCAD (Layout, Capture, PCB Editor)
  • Knowledge of Gerber editors
  • Knowledge of electronic packaging an asset
