VWZS - Viconics Wireless Zoning System
The VWZS – Wireless Zoning System has been specifically designed to bring further efficiencies to today’s mid-market buildings, still operating with disparate electric-electronic zoning systems.
The VWZS uses Viconics Wireless Mesh Control Network technology to bring networked heating and cooling demands, occupancy scheduling and alarming, easily and cost-effectively to the existing building market. Each controller is powered by 24VAC provided by the equipment, so no batteries are required!
The VWZS eliminates life service costs and downtime associated with repeated battery replacement cycles, found in most other wireless products on the market today.
This system further reduces total installation costs in both new and existing construction, but more dramatically in existing building control retrofits by eliminating the costs of new network wiring as is required by most other competitive zoning systems.
The VWZS system reduces the total number of components required and is comprised of two main system components: the VZ7200 wall mounted pressure dependent VAV controller and the VZ7656 which serves as the master controller/system manager, roof top unit controller and static pressure bypass controller. The VZ7200 VAV controller is completely separate from the VAV actuator facilitating and reducing the cost of future service. Both controllers feature an intuitive backlit character display, which simplify and further reduce the cost and time required for system set-up, commissioning and checkout by embedding all the configuration tools within these same devices.
The VZ7200 is also available with an optional integrated passive infrared motion sensor, which can optimize energy usage and reduce demand during occupied periods.
Scalability is brought to the system through an optional building system gateway which supports multiple Viconics Wireless Mesh sub-systems and translates to BACnet IP through pre-indexed, easily integrated objects. With this, the system lends itself to be easily integrated to any BACnet building system of choice or act as a stand-alone offering.
